Random thoughts on taste

Taste? It is always such a great feeling, and a great taste after brushing ones teeth. The draw back to this is when you either smoke, drink, or eat immediately afterwards. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth for hours so I have to make a conscious effort not to do those things.
I also decided to make a short video of my cat eating a paper sack, mmmm paper!

What if... (cont.)... (cont.)

51) What if everyone actually read each others blogs, gave input, feedback, at least constructive criticism (without being either stuck up or picky unless it was constructively!

I was crying myself to sleep last night because I never get any comments on my page and my poor fragile ego blah blah blah. Seriously though, I've never left comments for anyone so I thought it time to start throwing my opinion around, but only constructively, at least that's the goal. This will be an ongoing thing so if I haven't left a comment on your page, I will. I imagine this may be more fulfilling than Chuck Norris on toast, Then again...

What if... (cont.)

What if Chuck Norris appeared in your bathroom?
So i found several questions to ponder and this is what came from my brain. My morning ritual includes a shower first thing in the morning followed by breakfast, usually toast. So that is why Chuck is in my toast and not in my bathroom, also because I don't want Chuck in my bathroom. There may be another entry on Sunday depending on what I can think up.

Thoughts on our "time" together last week

I would say that everyone had their own concept of time and what to do on the subject. I would say the ones that stood out would be Jeremiah's because it seemed to be absent of some elements of time yet full of others. The legacy video was also pretty good, makes you think.

I have a funeral to attend in the morning so I may be a bit late tomorrow.

What if this was not a blog?

I really don't enjoy "what if" questions because I can't help but think "who cares?". I do however find that it takes you into the depths of another persons thoughts and process of thinking. I guess some of them are to make you think yet others are idiotic or mundane. Anyway, if you read it, try to enjoy at least some of it.

Percistence of Time

time n 1: period during which something exists or continues or can be accomplished 2: point at which something happens 3: customary hour 4: age 5: tempo 6: moment, hour, day, or year as indicated by a clock or calender 7: one's experience during a particular period ~ vb timed; timing 1: arrange or set the time of 2: determine or record the time, duration, or rate of

The last time I had a class in our room was a history of jazz with the late Jack Gilfoy, who was also an amazing jazz drummer. I remember learning about "free jazz" where people like Ornette Coleman and Cecil Taylor would just play whatever with no regard for key or tempo.
I decided to match some music that had an odd timing to video that had something, anything to do with time. I found some banjo music that seemed all over the place and merged it with some old super 8 footage I took probably 8 or 9 years ago of armature stock car racing.
So... the music is old (recorded in 1959) and off tempo. The video uses old super 8 stock that was filmed several years ago. The video also contains events that occur in a point in time. Finally it took a long time to upload this video as it was 75megs. All in all this is just what came out of my head.

Eggcellence

First off, I don't recall any egg projects that sucked... eggs. They were all varied in the idea and concept but the one that stood out to me was Stephanie's Egg & Zachly. Not because it kind of had my name in there but I found her comic strips to be entertaining. I also love comics where I don't have to read a great deal. Evan's egg video also made me laugh.

Everyone point and laugh! and dip!

Page 204 there are allot of illustrated fingers pointing (in the same direction). My first thought was to look at the next page, but no, I must look at the fingers and find what they are trying to say. Oh yes, there it is. They are from printer and typeset catalogues.
They do make me think of how easily we point with our finger but worse is to point at someone in judgement. There seems to be an authoritative aspect with an illustrated finger pointing as opposed to using an arrow. In the end they are only ink on paper. Where was I going with this? Be careful when following fingers at random.

Breaking yolks and tranquility through frustration

First thought: MMMM egg, scrambled with cheese.
Second thought: Pysanky? (this is dying an egg while adding wax in appropriate spots in between dyes)
I started by drilling a hole in both ends and blowing air through one hole to push the insides through the bottom. Too much pressure resulted in a good sized crack but the egg was still intact as a whole. Perhaps if I were to poor a bit of glue inside it will hold together. It held but the glue seeped from the crack and proved to prevent dying only where the glue was.
Third thought: Paint it.
I continued on and spray painted a blue layer over the entire egg. I then took a small brush and painted the black lines over the entire egg. The design is inspired by a wall in my house that I did the the same with. Anyway, I decided it could use some clear coat. While the clear coat was drying it rolled off the bench and onto the garage floor into two pieces. I pored a bit of glue (thicker this time) into one part and pieced it together then touched up the paint and finished the clear coat. I then took a picture of thus completing my new media commitments.

On the same thought of eggs, I have this magnet on my fridge, Edith the egg lady from Pink Flamingos.
